Costco Freshline Project

After a very long successful relationship with Costco for more than 25 years, RoJo was asked to perform a very sensitive construction renovation project to the Costco location in St. John’s Newfoundland. The project consisted of a total overhaul of all of the fresh food areas, including a new Bakery, Butcher Shop, Deli Department and an upgrade to the refrigeration system to comply with the new regulations. To complete this project, it required a phased replacement of the racks and rooftop equipment. All of this work was required to be done while Costco maintained their normal operations and sales. On this project, the scheduling and coordination was everything. Everyday tasks had to be strategically designed to maintain the store operations, while ensuring the construction project remained on schedule. The loading dock was an example of this, where Costco would receive their merchandise loads overnight, while the construction project was in full motion and the loading dock was used to move excavation materials out.
